
Londra Bisiklet Kulubu also known as London Cycling Club ( London CC CIC ) is an award-winning community cycling organisation. The club established in May 2019 and based in Churchfield Recreation Ground in Edmonton, North London.
Londra Bisiklet Kulubu was started by Ozgur Korkmaz a year after he cycled solo from London to İstanbul in 46 days. Ozgur realised that the need for a cycling club in his Turkish speaking community living in London. The club provides cycle training, affordable bike hire, led bike rides and time to time organise cycling /walking events.
LBK has over 120 members, 15 active volunteers and working with number of cycle instructors and bike mechanics. LBK’ Bike Hub ( 3 Shipping Containers) has over 80 adults and over 20 kids bikes and a bike workshop.
LBK is working and collaborating with Enfield Council and other community groups to remove barriers on cycling and ensure that cycling is inclusive and accessible for everyone regardless of their background, race, faith, gender or age
Last year, LBK also partnered with London Cycling Campaign and Better Streets for Enfield to campaign for an accessible, safe and inclusive cycle network for London.
LBK believes that cycling offers a potential solution to the challenges presented by urban transport and climate change as well as improving peoples mental well-being and physical health. It also reduce transport poverty for low income people.
